The accommodation had everything we needed for our trip, we appreciated drinks and views. 15 mins walk to the center. There is a bar adjacent to the building.
-
Good value, it was comfortable stay. Don't forget to explore Gaslamp district. They have breakfast, it costs 15 usd per person per day.
-
Friendly staff, but misleading in their phone conversations prior to booking the reservation and arrival. (I called with questions)
Was not as promised in many ways: 1. Was told we'd have a room with 2 queen beds, room had two double beds; checked out early because room was not as advertised. 2. Was told the airport shuttle would pick me up within 10-15 minutes of calling them from baggage claim. When I called I was told it would be 45-55 minutes before they'd be there to get me. Ended up taking a cab. 3. The elevator, while "historic" creates problems because it is so slow. 4. Floors and bathtub were not clean. Seemed as though the carpet had never been cleaned, and the bottom of the tub was dirty. 5. The water pressure in the room was bad, too.

Located in downtown city area close to restaurants, shopping and night life. Rooftop lounge area is nice, especially at night.
Rooms are a little dated, on the small side and elevator is antiquated and slow.
-
Recently stayed at hotel, and although rooftop is outstanding for perpendicular viiews, room was extremely small and dark -- in comparison to other hotels nearing airport of around a similar price range of 99.99 dollars. To add, was bitten on foot as soon as I slipped into the covers. Later, saw small ant. In such a precious environment -- was shocked to find an unethical visitor in my bathroom -- large water bug who was later flushed by nearby maid.
-
the location was great. in the middle of everything you would want to do in downtown.
i originally booked a room with 2 queens when i got there they split us up between 2 seperate rooms because they had already sold out of 2 queen rooms. the single queen rooms were ridiculously small! barley any room to move around. and when using the shower water would leak out onto the bathroom floor, everything was drenched!
-
The location was good in that you could access the area by walking.
The experience was ok; except for being very rudely awakened @ 3 am by the couple in the adjacent room. They were arguing and throwing things and banging on doors. I could not sleep for the rest of the night.. awful!
-
In the middle of the Gaslamp district, walking distance to almost everything. Near Petco park. Has a 24 hour restaurant/bar.
Rooms are small and simple. Window air conditioning. Sink in the room, not in the bathroom. Bathroom needs remodeling/upgrading. Bathroom door is a sliding door that has gaps at both ends/is not flush with the wall so gives little privacy.
-
Location for the nightlife was perfect, loved being able to walk to restaurants and bars.
-
I loved that it was a beautiful old building. Attached restaurant was good with an excellent breakfast.
Noise from the very active neighborhood was horrible. I had to keep the air conditioner running all night as white noise in order to sleep. The bathroom was so small one could not open the door all the way. Pubic hair on show wall upon check-in.
-
location location location the attached restaurant the roof patio and city view proximity to Petco Park the total retro feel of the old place and the cool old elevators and wide stairway
-
Location Free Airport Shuttle and Wi Fi
Elavator is small
-
The rooftop area was fun to handout with friends.
The elevators went down so it was hard to go up and down the stairs.
-
Historic atmosphere - did not feel like convention hotel Security at front door so felt safe even when returning at night on Halloween Good wifi
Air conditioning noisy

The cachet of the hotel, the shuttle from/to the airport was really appreciated, the location was really convenient to go to the conference and then go out in the evening.
The surprise extra 25$ fee at check out. Please charge us for all taxes at the beginning not add them as a surprise when we leave. I left on a really disapointing note. At least I should have been told when I arrived that I would have to pay something else.. I really thought I had already paid for my hotel room..And the nice gentleman could not even tell me what was that surprise 25$....never happened to me at other hotels..
