    Great customer service

This is our second time staying in this hotel I just love this hotel, I fell in love with the suite. Really nice and comfortable for my family. I checked in but left to run an errand and came back my bags were all in my room.

It was a nice location, close to 5th Ave and restaurants. The room was "cosy" after Large rooms but nothing wrong with that.

I was not told by the checkin clerk of the $20 per day extra payment required as a deposit against use of hotel services. It was not mentioned on a form at which I had to initial in 4 places - in my view as a lawyer query whether it strictly formed part of my contract with the hotel - it should be on the form. Told this was "standard" in US hotels - well in my previous LA and Venice Beach and Vegas hotels!

The Staff are lovely, friendly, efficeint and very accomodating. Leslie is an asset to Ramada. She really made you feel very special and made sure that we were taken care of, very knowledgeable with restaurants. Look her up when you check in, she's brill!

Even though the gym on the 8th floor was not fully equipped, there was another alternative and I was satisfied over all. Rooms were kept well bt the cleaning staff. I had a really good experience over all. Many thanks! :)))

Definitively an historical building. Location is No. 1, is close to whatever you want to do in San Diego. The view at the terrace is amazing. I read some reviews complaining about the noise but I was on the third floor with a street view window and it wasn't an issue at all. Yes the elevators are old, but they are a piece of history and is really a part of the experience of actually staying on an historical building. If you have traveled to Europe you must have lived trough it as part of the experience.

The cost is high for the return on the room quality. Bed is average. The bathroom is big enough, but there was some mold around the bathtub.

The location was very convenient to visit with family who were staying nearby and to sightseeing in the city. In checking around, the price of the hotel through Booked.net was affordable in an otherwise pretty pricey market. The staff were very helpful.

Not a complaint really but we were on the 10th floor and the elevator is tiny and ancient and took forever... Did not inspire confidence. Also the suite we were upgraded to was oddly configured and had the strangest assortment of furniture which seemed like it was just thrown together at the last minute... Did not matter to us since we were just looking for a place to sleep in a a conveniently located place.

The staff was extremly helpful and friendly. The rooms were small however I viewed online and knew that. Because of the year of the building I found it quaint and almost bed and breakfast like. I dont know if I would bring with children but for my husband and myself in our late 40's it was great. I loved the resturant attached and the convenience to all shopping. We ate at several upscale resturants all within walking distance.

When we got there they upgraded us to a suite on the top floor! Nice Surprise!

    Bathroom shower not very clean.

The situation of the hotel, that is near to restaurants and night live.

Tiny fitness room, cockroach in bathroom, bed did not seem like queen bed - more like full, very small room

The situation is such that everything is close by... There is a warm ambience and the staff are both friendly and caring ... There is a well appointed restaurant attached where the food is good and the service with a smile.... The highlight of this hotel is the lovely 10th floor terrace which affords a peaceful getaway for someone who may have had a tiring day...yet the sound a of celebrations down below come across clearly . The room is well appointed and conducive to a restful sleep.

The best thing about the Ramada was the location.

The room was very small and the additional bed was very uncomfortable.

It was simple everything was as advertised. Would do it again.

It was again prefect everyone was friendly and professional.

It was convenient to downtown San Diego gaslamp quarters. Perfect view from the 10th floor terrace. Enjoyed and appreciated how old the hotel is. Great having a restaurant connected to the hotel. This made it very convenient to have a nice dinner at the Terrace Balcony.

OMG!, Didn't like that fact that I was woken up at 3:00 in the morning by some rowdy hotel guests that got out of control. It was very scary for me to be woken up by yelling, screaming, fighting right by my room door. That was a horrible experience and I hope I never have to experience that again.

Room size and view was great.

Dirty shower and the design of the tub/shower floods the floor. Also the toilet is only good for doing #1s.

I liked the old world charm, it was an historic building with alot of character (the elevator was put in in 1913 and was the fastest in the world at that time!). Staff were friendly, the restaurant/diner next door was awesome!! And the location was central to everything in the gaslamp.

The room was a little muggy, but the a/c unit helped. Also, it was on a really busy street, so even though it was nice to be so close to all the bars and restaurants, it was also a bit annoying when trying to sleep--the noise from the streets and music from the bars was insane!! Definitely would recommend bringing earplugs if you stay on the street side.
